Horizonti Foundation Grants Allocated in 2003

In 2003 the Horizonti Foundation implemented Grants Program on Promotion of NGO Coalition Networking for the second time. The Horizonti Foundation Grants Advisory Board selected 2 coalitions. Each coalition consisted of 6 organizations.

1. Coalition for Monitoring of Healthcare Programs and Accessibility of Medical Care in Georgia (Total-24 299,94 USD)

2. "Medical Students Association"-2870,42 USD
3. "Net For Protection of Constitutional Rights" -5022,12 USD
4. "Business Consortium Association"-1607,78 USD
5. "Healthy State Paradigm" Association-10967,39 USD
6. "Association For Healthy Society"-404 USD

Project envisaged a comprehensive study of the following governmental programs in the field of healthcare:
Obstetrics;
Additional medical care for vulnerable people;
Treatment and prevention of oncological diseases.

2 Coalition for Improvement the Economical Condition of Kakheti Population" (Total -25 000 USD)

2. "The Open Human Institute For the Healthy, Economic and Insurance In Georgia"-4000 USD
3. Unit For Eco-Genetically Safety of Georgia "Galgi"-4000 USD
4. Community unit "Signagelebi"-2500 USD
5. "Center For Analytical Development, Social and Ecological Expertise"-4000 USD
6. Community Unit "Alvani -2000"-4000 USD

The project is to support sustainable use of biological recourses existing in Kakheti region and to improve economic condition of local population through application of principles for sustainable use of recourses.
The project is being implemented in Dedoflistskaro, Sighnaghi and Akhmeta Districts.
