The Horizonti Foundation Akhaltsikhe office is one of the branch offices of Horizonti in Georgia, which was established with the goal of strengthening the Third Sector in the region and building a democratic civil society in Samtskhe-Javakheti. To achieve these goals The Horizonti Foundation implements the following tasks.

In order to share the information and coordinate relationships, the office regularly organizes communicational meetings with international organizations operating in Samtskhe-Javakheti .
Organizes meetings with local NGOs.
In cooperation with local media sources promotes the idea and philosophy of the third Sector in Samtskhe Javakheti.
Conducts training for local NGO’s and initiative groups on the issues of strategic planning, project proposal writing, management and advocacy.
Provides local NGOs with opportunity of free access to computer and internet.
Carries out community mobilization activities in the region: organizing meetings in villages, carries out training and consultations on community development strategic planning.
Works in close cooperation with governmental, business and self -governing structures.

In cooperation with The Mercy Corps Akhaltsikhe office coordinates The Social Policy Working Group’s activities in Samtskhe-Javakheti, which aims at investigating the informational needs of communities, raising public awareness of ongoing reforms in the sphere of education, and encourages their involvement in the decision making process.
