Study Program in Israel for Georgia’s NGOs

Horizonti Foundation in cooperation with MASHAV-Center for International Cooperation (Israel) announces a cooperative study program for the representatives of Georgian NGOs. In the frames of the program, Horizonti will support the applicants to participate in the study courses conducted in Israel. MASHAV administers these study courses and gives an opportunity to the participants to gain experience in Israel. The courses are conducted in English. Therefore, the applicants are required to have good command of the foreign language. MASHAV and Horizonti Foundation will cover all the expenses related to the course. The courses are offered on the following topics:

• The Fight Against Poverty: Micro-credit and Social Structures Promoting Advancement (English) (25.08.2003 – 18.09. 2003). Deadline for submission of documents at Horizonti – June 11, 2003
• The Role of the Civil Society in Democracy Building (24.11.2003 – 18.12.2003). Deadline for submission of documents at Horizonti – September 10, 2003

Requirements:

• Be a representative of a Georgian NGO
• Have a good command of English language
• Have relevant experience in the field of the chosen course.

Documents to be submitted:

• Recent CV
• Two letters of recommendation for this program from present employers or affiliation
• Copy of the relevant highest academic degree obtained translated into the language of the course/program
• Statement of purpose (maximum 2 pages) including your experience in the field, expectations from the training course as well as future plans after completion of the program
• Certificate of language proficiency (if available)

The interested candidates should present the following documents to the Horizonti Foundation (2 Dolidze street, 6th floor). The chosen candidates will be interviewed and presented to MASHAV for final approval.
